New York Giants Win Super Bowl XLVI But New England Patriots Still Top Twitter’s Trend

New York Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham makes an unbelievable catch.

It’s official; the 2011-12 NFL Super Bowl Champions are the New York Giants. Coming in again as the underdogs to the New England Patriots like they were in 2008, the Giants scoring late in the fourth quarter again took the lead and would go onto win.

As for the New England Patriots they would head back into the locker room as they did in 2008 while the Giants would remain on the field to celebrate their Super Bowl victory.

However, there’s one thing different this time as twitter unlike in 2008 is a lot more popular with it’s trends and tweets, which brings us to the trend that’s circling the social media world right now; “Patriots Locker Room Playlist.”

Yes that’s right, Patriots Locker Room Playlist is trending worldwide as users pick a song or more that they would imagine playing in the Patriots locker room after the game if they were listening to music.

So here’s a sample playlist of some of the best ones that we felt fit the trend best.

1. From @iSpeakComedy: Notorious B.I.G. – It Was All A Dream.

2. From @UptownJigg: Brittney Spears – Opps I did It Again.

3. From @SjonesiProduce: Rolling Stones – You Can’t Always Get What You Want.

4. From @KGorospe: Waka Flocka – No Hands (His reasoning, for all the missed catches).

5. From @Sonaclj: One Republic – It’s To Late To Apologize.

6. From @DiaryOfG2Gent: Keyshia Cole – I Should’ve Cheated.

7. From @_CanYouLive: Notorious B.I.G. – Give Me One More Chance.

8. From @Jelanie_: Justin Timberlake – Cry Me A River.

9. From @Jelani_: Déjà vu- Beyonce.

10. From @BTNichols_MOAM: DJ Kahled – All I Do Is Win (His reasoning, wait wrong locker room).

11. From @TheLindaMilani: Akon – I Tried

12. From @Mads_3: Lady Gaga – Speechless.

13. From @Mads_3: Keyshia Cole – I Just Want It To Be Over.

14. From @Jelani_: Alicia Keys – Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart.

15. From @Jelani_: Usher – Burn.

Now I’m sure that there are plenty of more songs that you could add to this playlist which you can certainly do by posting your comment below. As for the rest of the Patriots night, I’m sure it will just be a quiet one. However a little music never hurts. So with that I would like to conclude the playlist with a song by Queen, We Are The Champions New York Giants Remix.

Floyd Mayweather Wants A Fight And Calls Out Pacquiao

Mayweather calls out Pacquiao.

When Twitter began in 2006, it opened a new world of social media to everyone as within 150 characters; you say you’re thought or as they call it “tweet”. Over the last couple of years this new trend of social media has grown to the point where people’s tweets are gaining attention. For example take Arian Foster for example who tweeted a photo of his MRI of his hamstring on twitter or a tweet saying that kids were suspended for tebowing. You name it, you see it, you hear it, chances are it’s been tweeted too.

Well today on twitter Floyd “Money” Mayweather Jr. who was scheduled to go to Clark County Detention Center on Friday for 87 days had his sentenced delayed on Tuesday due to a scheduled fight between him and Manny Pacquiao.

Mayweather plead guilty to a reduced battery domestic violence charge and no contest to two harassment charges, stemming from a hair-pulling, punching and arm-twisting argument with his ex-girlfriend in front of two of their children.

The tweets that Mayweather tweeted were, “Manny Pacquiao I’m calling you out let’s fight May 5th and give the world what they want to see,” said Mayweather in his first tweet.

He would then say, one minute later “My Jail Sentence was pushed back because the date was locked in. Step up Punk.”

Floyd Mayweather currently has 2,145,965 followers and most likely more to come after the news/tweets today.

Mayweather’s attorney successfully argued that the sentence should be delayed until June 1 so he could fulfill a contractual obligation for a fight at the MGM Grand, which he estimated would pour more than $100 million into the ailing Las Vegas economy.

So Mayweather is free until June 1st, however the fight on May 5th may not be against Pacquiao as it may be someone else such as welterweight Saul “Canelo” Alvarez and lightweight Robert Guerrero.

However, Mayweather doesn’t want Alvarez or Guerrero as you heard the man or if you want to get literal read the man, he wants Pacquiao.

As far as any news or response from Pacquiao or if he will fight on May 5th, 2011 at MGM Grand, there has been no confirmation.
